Andy: What's up?

Erin Binkley: Not too much here :) Enjoying the 134 pieces of mail I got after a week vacation away from the PC :)

Andy: Heh . . . New Year's vacation?

Erin Binkley: Yes sir :) Went with family and friends to San Antonio, Texas. It was great. Those people know how to party and the fact they didn't card anyone was a major plus :)

Andy: Any Y2K concerns going into the whole thing for you?

Erin Binkley: I think everyone was a bit worried at least something was going to happen. I won't go as far as thinking that the world was going to blow up but I was a bit concerned about PC problems.

Andy: Same here . . . well, I guess for starters, what characters do you handle, and in what feds?

Erin Binkley: I am the self proclaimed Queen of Female Characters :) My best so far has been "Erotic" Erin McCoys. I run her in a number of federations including the UWF, GLOW, and my own federation, the WWO In the WWO I also run several other females including Chanel, Ashley Stevens, Emily Ecstasy and Amanda Wells.

Andy: Just a whole slew of female characters then, eh?

How old are you?

Erin Binkley: Yes sir. I've tired my hand at running males characters before. I had a tag team called Money & Power but I ran out of interesting ideas for them. It's tough to keep tag teams interesting without rehashing old angles.

I am 20 years old :)

Andy: So, how did you first get into fantasy wrestling?

Erin Binkley: I was swooned in :) I met this guy named Andru Edwards in the WWF Chat Room of all places. I was involved in a little "Wrestling Clique" which was basically a group of really cool people who regulated the WWF Chat Room and then moved into private rooms. Andru and I became friends there, flirted hopelessly and even began talking on the phone. One night, he invited me into a private chat room where his federation, the FWF, was holding a Slammy Awards show. I thought it was fun and asked him if I could join... We threw around a few names and after Lady Erin and Exotic Erin, we decided on "Erotic" Erin McCoys :)

Andy: Heh, now I don't think I've ever heard an entrance story like that before.

So, how long have you been involved in them total?

Erin Binkley: I don't do anything normal :) I'm a bit eccentric to put it mildly :) I kinda lost count but I think it's getting close to 3 years

Andy: What are the things that really make roleplaying and everything else involved in FW enjoyable for you?

Erin Binkley: I love having a picture in my head and then seeing it come to life in a card or RP packet. The people I've met and the friends I've made from this have been some of the greatest. I love the feeling of coming up with new and creative stuff time after time. I really get off on the soap opera aspect of the game :)

Andy: More people should. Considering, you can't actually get "violent" while on a comp.

Erin Binkley: LOL, You'd be surprised at some of angry Instant Messages and emails I've gotten in my day. Many people take this very, very seriously. They live vicariously through their characters and that's just VERY sad.

Andy: If people could realize that they are who they are, and their character should be someone completely different, I think that would make everything seem a little more mature in this game....

What are some of the things that you feel you could do without in fantasy wrestling?

Erin Binkley: Jealousy for one is a big part I could do without. I also could do without people treating this as a sport. Guys, IT IS A GAME! When you shut the computer off, we all go away. It's as simple as that.

Andy: On the game, would you say there is any mindset you get into, though, before writing out a roleplay or etc?

Erin Binkley: I've been known to wait to the last minute to RP unless I have time right after a card comes out. That's usually when I'm the most inspired and enthused. I've also been known to get some of my best ideas at night before I fall asleep. Problem is, very rarely I remember them in the morning :P While I'm RPing, I do like to listen to music though :)

Andy: What kind of music?

Erin Binkley: Depends who I'm RPing for. In the UWF, Erin is a completely trendy ice princess so I'm known to pop in some Britney Spears, Christina Aguliera, Mandy Moore etc. It just fits the character. In the WWO, she was going through a darker stage where another evil male wrestler brain washed her and turned her into "The Fallen Angel". Then I would listen to Garbage, Orgy, Smashmouth, 88 Fingers Louie, The Doors etc :)

Andy: 88 Fingers Louie! That's getting into punk territory now!

Erin Binkley: I love Guttermouth and 88 Fingers Louie :) I go to a liberal arts college so you get opened upto all this new kind of music :)

Andy: I'm listening to a Hopeless Records comp right now, actually, that has 88 Fingers Louie on it! You get opened up into ALL KINDS of stuff when you're introduced to punk rock! :) ..... What college are you attending?

Erin Binkley: I go to the Illinois Art Institute but everyone who goes there calls it the Chicago Art Institute :)

Andy: What are you majoring in?

Erin Binkley: Fashion Marketing with a minor in Communications

Andy: Do you like to write, aside from roleplaying all together?

Erin Binkley: Oh yeah! Before I got into ewrestling, I was in the Creative Writing Club at school and also part of the Newspaper staff. My original major started out being Journlism.

Andy: What made you back out of journalism?

Erin Binkley: I didn't have the kill or be killed attitude that I was told was needed. My personaility isn't one that would do whatever it took to get "the" story. I wanted something a little bit more laid back but not too laid back. Also, Fashion has always been my first love. I knew becoming a designer was out because of my chances of becoming famous were low so I went to the business side of it. :)

Andy: Ahhh....journalism WAS going to be my major, too. That's why I had asked. So, what are some of your hobbies?

Erin Binkley: Besides flirting with cute boys over the internet who like punk? :P Just kidding :) I'm totally into dancing. I've been dancing for about 14 years now. I also love bowling, fencing and golf. I collect beanie babies and stuffed animals, am addicted to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and VH1's Behind the Music, and consider myself pretty hand with the computer especially web graphics :)

Andy: lol...are you a very big fan of wrestling?

Erin Binkley: Huge! You can chalk that upto having an older brother who used to DDT me on a daily basis. I'm a big WWF fan. Jericho, Hunter, The Rock, Ivory and Stephanie McMahon. I'm kinda into ECW simply because I worship Raven, Dreamer and Dawn Marie and there's only one reason to watch WCW... NORMAN SMILEY~!

Andy: Would you say you model Erotic Erin after anyone in pro wrestling, or would you say she is more of just a character creation?

Erin Binkley: When I firsted started ewrestling and didn't know what I was doing too much, she was a COMPLETE Marlena knock off. She wore gold, she smoked cigars, the whole nine yards. Once I got into it big time, I realized how stupid that looked and took her away from that. In the WWO, I can't really say she's modeled after anyone. In the UWF, I've modeled her after the way Sable could have been if she was willing to play nice :)

Andy: So you pretty much have the same character, but tweak the personna a little depending on the fed?

Erin Binkley: Defintely. I play her differently to fit the new enviorment. I play her off the people I'm working with also when she's managing. I try not to make her too prominent when she's managing a strong male character cause I don't want it to seem like Erin has got him whipped. Which of course she does though :) When she's a wrestler, I really let her shine though by herself or in her stable, The Bod Squad :)

Andy: Do you think you understand Erin a little, as if you know her as a person now?

Erin Binkley: Sometimes it's still a mystery on how exactly she will react to some things. She's so complex and has so many different dimensions that character wise, it's hard to know what she's always thinking. The character has been through alot. I've never been one to try and sheild her from taking bumps or taking her licks. I know one female handler who is so protective of her female, she always strats not to have the character touched or put into a bad situtation. Hell, Erin's been kidnapped, Brain Washed, put every wrestling move you can think of on by a male wrestler and black mailed! :) It's what makes her interesting :)

Andy: So you're not afraid to take chances with her...

So, you run a fed....is it very hard to run one, and also have time to roleplay for your characters?

Erin Binkley: I've have so many dedicated handlers and people who help me book and write matches so it's not too hard. The basically thing that kicks the fed's ass from time to time it college.

Andy: Time....the one thing that no one can really escape in the fantasy wrestling world! How long have you had the fed?

Erin Binkley: Time, there's so little and so much of it. Surprisingly, 2 and a half years but with hiatuses here and there :)

Andy: Well, that's still a great amount of time!

Well, is there any final thing you'd like to say to the people who are reading this?

Erin Binkley: I want to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule and interviewing me. The character is great and your web page is one of the best I've seen. As far as from me and the character, all I can say is that you haven't seen anything yet. I still have got a few tricks up my sleeve to help me keep my claim as one of the top female handlers :)

Andy: Thanks.....well, I know we'll be seeing you around. Thanks for the interview.

Erin Binkley: Your welcome :) Thank you! :)

Andy: Well, I'll catcha later.

Erin Binkley: Bye :)
