Title: "Community: Relocation"

It had been a turbulent period in Berkeley.

Erica's father had found work. He had came in contact with a hiring construction facility that offered great pay and fantastic benefits. The problem was, it was located in eastern Arizona. He would have to relocate. It was no problem for him, for the ends of the solution dazzled him. In the short-term range, though, it would mean that if Erica were to stay with him, she would have to leave, too.

That would become the hardest decision that she had possibly ever made.

When she had graduated from high school, she had the opportunity for a paid scholarship to Northwestern University, in Louisiana. She had declined, instead choosing to wait a few years before entering college so she could further tend to her father and be someone there for him. That had been a hard decision on her part, but one she was able to overcome and be relatively satisfied with after looking back.

But two years later, with a child on the way but a secure source to help her raise it, the choice to follow with her father was the hardest question that Erica had ever came upon.

She had decided to stay in Berkeley. It was a rough night when she had told him of her decision. But the two had finally been able to understand each other's viewpoint on the situation.

A new set of problems arose from her decision. The house that they lived in was leased. The lease was coming up soon. Fred wouldn't be able to afford a new lease payment on it for her to have a place to stay. So, the question of where she would stay in Berkeley came up.

Zero had found out about the situation and Erica's problem. Instantly, his mind had gone to the two vacant apartments on Gilman. The rent would be low; much cheaper than what the lease payments would be. The environment might not have been as good as where the Storms presently resided, but at least he would be there should anything come up or if Erica needed him.

Fred had two weeks before he had to leave for Arizona. That time would be spent with his daughter, as they enjoyed their final moments of still living in the same house together.

As for Zero, he would be away for the weekend, due to CWL obligations. But the week after, he had a week long break and would be able to set up the papers that Erica would need in order for her to take up residence at Gilman.

Some of the more dire questions about the whole ordeal that floated in Zero's head, though, were what the reactions would be to her moving in. What hell would Mrs. Jenkins come up with? And how would Erica feel about living in Matt's old apartment? That wouldn't be done. Zero would be sure to set up Erica's apartment as Carenthia's old apartment. At least some good could still inhabit those walls.

The next two weeks would be a transition for all of them.
