Title: "Revelations: Part 14 of 14"

A week after Theodore's arresting, Zero decided it was time to pay a visit to the Police Station. He told no one at the apartments that he was going. He simply got into his Blazer and set off.

He checked in to it and asked the people at the front desk entrance over the guarding cell if he could speak to one person. When asked who, he replied "Theodore Balmore." They all seemed a little surprised, but after proper identification and a verification procedure, he was led to a cubicle with bulletproof glass in front of it. A microphone hung down beside the chair.

Zero sat down and awaited his guest of choosing.

After a few brief moments, Theodore Balmore, complete with an orange one-piece suit, sat down in front of him. He had a menacing facial expression, but if that were meant to intimidate Zero, it wouldn't work. He had seen far worse just a week earlier when this same man was looking at him through the cross hairs of a gun.

"And what in the name of JJ, the sorry ass prick, do you want?" Theodore's voice lost half of it's edge when it was processed through a microphone. "Probably an autograph, no doubt. I've already been giving them out of my ass since I've been in here." Theodore cocked his head at Zero and drove his dead eyes right into Zero's.

Zero calmly looked into those eyes. "I would assume that isn't the only part of your ass you've been giving." Zero cocked an eyebrow with that verbal shot. Confidence was what it was. He continued with, "But I don't think we ever had a chance to finish our discussion from a week ago. I think you remember it quite while."

Theodore raised his arms up and connected his fingers, propping his head back on them. "No, sorry. I don't remember, Lint."

Zero leaned forward in his chair. "Ah, but I think you do." Zero burned his gaze into Theodore. "You see, you made one very obvious error. You thought you could destroy Zero. You said so yourself in the alley. But I am still here." Zero looked straight into Theodore's eyes.

Theodore closed his eyelids for a moment. He had to snap out of the almost hypnotizing glare that the two were giving each other. Thinking hard, but replying with confidence, Theodore looked back into those eyes of Zero. "I did. You who stand before me are Lint Douglas. Zero died when I decided to let him die. I created him... and I decided to destroy him."

Zero listened to him. He listened hard. When Theodore was finished, Zero thought for a moment on what Theodore had just said. But instead of responding, Zero simply moved his chair back, and began to walk off.

That infuriated Theodore. He screamed at him. "Lint! Lint Douglas! Get over here! Get back here! We still have this to discuss, no doubt!" He slammed his fists down onto the table in front of him and screamed, "Get back over here!"

Zero stopped in mid stride. He turned and looked back to Theodore. It struck him on how odd roles can be quickly reversed at times.

Slowly, Zero made a slow walk back over to the microphone. He didn't sit down, for he was going to be brief. "No..." he said with a definite snap of confidence, "we don't have to discuss this. It's finished. I won."

He turned to walk away. But something inside of him caused him to stop and turned back to the microphone. "And one more thing. Here's something you need to learn from here on out. I am who I am, and not because someone made me that way. But the most important thing you need to know is...

        "....my name... is...

         ZERO

With that, Zero turned and began the walk once more. He was a new man, different than how he was when he had entered the complex.

Behind him, Theodore screamed and cursed at Zero. He demanded, ordered... practically anything he could do to cool down the burning hate he had for Zero. Anything he could do to get Zero to come back, just so he could tell Zero again how much better he thought he was than him.

Zero never gave anymore of his free time listen to Theodore's rants. For Zero continued walking: past the cell guards, out of the door, past the security guards, for he wouldn't stop until he was back in his Blazer and travelling back to Gilman Street.

And so ends the Revelations
