Zero "Who am I facing tonight?"

Terry Nodar looked up from his booking sheets to see Zero standing before him. "Well Lint," he started slowly, "after last week, we're stuck in a rut about where to carry your character now." Nodar eyed Zero for a bit.

"About Mason," said Zero, "that was not the direction in which I wished to choose to go here in the CWL. But since I am here, I do want a match against someone else. No sense in me wasting my time to fly here, or you'll for paying for it."

Terry laid the sheets down on a table and looked to Zero. "Look, I don't know of anyone off-hand for us to put together for a match. It's a little hectic at the moment."

Zero stood for a moment. After last week, after Havoc had come in for the attack, Zero knew that his choices were about to be limited in what was to happen in the CWL. Coming to see Terry about obtaining a match… that was just last resort to try and push away the looming fate one last time.

"When something comes up, let me know." Zero nodded his head at Terry and turned back to walk away.

"Hey Terry, have you seen my belt?" Suddenly, Kid Cool came walking in from out of nowhere. He was walking sideways, looking off behind him at nothing unparticular. "I think I left it over…" He turned his face back around to make sure that Terry was still there. He was. Good. Terry was nice like that. Nice like that new widescreen video thing the CWL has now. But it'd be nicer if it shown a lot of those XFL girls. Not the football, though. Football in the league was too rough. And now, he had heard, that they wanted to start getting kids out of high school, too. Lord heavens, wouldn't that be too young? Now, Kid wasn't too smart, he knew that much, but he knew that high school kids against veterans would be terrible. Why if he…

Terry looked over at Kid Cool as he came walking up to him. Suddenly, an idea came into his head as he looked from Kid to Zero, who was walking away. He told Kid, "No, no we haven't seen your belt. But go get your wrestling gear…"

Kid Cool looked over at Terry as if he has voice had came from a distant dream.

"Zero," Terry called out. He saw Zero stop and turn to look at him. Terry finished his message by saying. "I think I have found a match for you tonight."

Kid Cool vs Zero

As Kid's music blared up, he came walking out onto the ramp backwards. He pulled a curtain aside and stuck his head in, looking for something or another. Suddenly, the realization of what he was doing and where he was doing it at struck him. He turned back around and looked out into the crowd. The question of where his belt had wondered off to seemed to just fade from his mind.

He walked down to the ring, a little nervous about being put in the match so unexpectedly against that man who likes to hit others with chairs. But a fan reached out and grabbed his shoulder. He jumped from surprise, but then suddenly realized that it was just a fan trying to reach out to touch him. He leaned in closer to say a few words to him, but someone else in the crowd shoved him away. Feeling mad at the man, Kid Cool walked on further to the ring. He checked under the ring apron to see if maybe he had left his belt under there. But it wasn't anywhere. Discouraged, he climbed into the ring.

Backstage, Zero watched the mannerisms of his opponent for the night. He had told Nodar he wanted a match. But what was the person who was out there to face him? He seemed like a lost ball of fire blazing hair. Suddenly, he heard his music kick in. It was time to step out and into the routine of the wrestling. With the Havoc business all but unknown, Zero had to just take everything a match at a time. He could feel the chronicles being reopened. Whether or not they fully did, though, that was up to Havoc. One more thing… and Zero would open them back up himself.

As Zero climbed into the ring, he looked across at his opponent. The Kid Cool guy wasn't even looking in his direction. Where was he looking, and at what? He was a moron, quite simply put, Zero thought to himself.

Maybe it's up in the ceiling, high and away from anyone stealing it. Kid had totally forgotten about the match at hand. His thoughts were drifting around to where the belt could be. He had already ruled out the fans having it, simply because he'd have that little gut feeling that it'd be out there. No, it was definitely the ceiling. Now, just how to get up there to get it… Suddenly, Kid felt someone pull him down from the top turnbuckle.

Zero walked over to Kid Cool and grabbed him by the waist. With a backward thrust, he slammed Kid Cool down onto his back from the top turnbuckle. He didn't take the attack, but simply waited for the guy to get up so they could begin their match.

Kid turned around and finally saw Zero in the ring with him. My, Kid thought, his hair sure was pointy. Kid wondered about how he could get his hair to do that. It seemed kind of wet. And oily looking. Maybe Kid Cool could wet his hair and stick it all up like that. Suddenly though, he saw the man before him, Zero, charge into him with a hard forearm shot.

Zero didn't come to the ring to just stand around and look at the kid. Taking the initiative, Zero slammed his forearm into Kid Cool's chest and took him down to the ground. Not caring to keep it on the mat, though, Zero grabbed Kid's hair and pulled him back up to his feet. Kid hollered out as he was being pulled up, but Zero latched onto Kid's leg and picked him up onto his shoulders. With a quick snap, Zero dropped Kid Cool down to the mat with a Samoan Driver.

Kid Cool hit the mat hard. Suddenly, he realized that he was in a match! No more thinking about belts. No more thinking about slimjims. He had to get focused on his match. He was already being thrown around and he hadn't even started yet. He got up to his feet, even though his knees started to buckle. As Zero came in to take him out with a shoulder, Kid's knees wobbled too much and caused him to fall back down. He caught Zero with two elbows on accident, sending Zero down to the mat beside him. Kid didn't even realize what he had done, but he knew that he had better take care of it and see to it that he capitalized on the chance. He got back up to his feet and kicked a leg out (like he saw that guy on the WWF do once) and raised his elbow into the air. With a choppy motion, Kid dropped down to the mat with an elbow drop.

Zero felt something like an elbow hit him. It wasn't hard enough to decipher, though. He brushed his chest off a little and saw Kid Cool lying on the mat beside him. Zero got back onto his knees and rolled out of the ring. It was time to open the match up and get to work in the match. He grabbed two chairs from ringside and tossed them into the ring. Looking under the apron, Zero pulled out a table and set it up on both legs on the outside. It had been awhile since he had done that to a table. But it had been awhile since he had thrown someone over the top rope and through the table, too, though.

Kid heard the chairs land over beside him. He got to his feet to see what was going on. Perhaps his title had fallen back down from the ceiling and was in the ring with him once again? He looked to see what it was, but was disappointed to see that some chairs had been thrown into the ring. He grabbed one and threw it over his shoulder. He heard a thud, but didn't turn around to see it. There was another chair he had to pick up.

Zero climbed back into the ring, only to see a chair flying back at him. He caught it right before it crashed into his face. So finally… the guy was fighting back in some sort of fashion. Zero saw Kid Cool bending over to grab the other chair. He didn't give him the chance to grab it, though, as he slammed a chairshot into the Kid's back. Kid went straight down to the mat.

He shook his head and stumbled back onto his feet. Kid didn't remember the last time that someone had used a chair on him. Maybe his dad, a long time ago. Wait, was that a chair that he had used? Kid couldn't remember. Suddenly, Zero grabbed him by the neck. Kid latched onto the chair that he suddenly realized that he was holding. He felt himself being pulled to the ring ropes… where a table was setup down below.

The match had carried on enough. It was getting ridiculous. Zero grabbed Kid Cool to set him up for a toss over the ropes and through the table below. After that, the match would be over. He grabbed hold of Kid's chest, but felt a chair slam in-between them. Zero looked down to see Kid protecting himself with that chair. With a swift tug, Zero pulled it free from Kid's arms and tossed it to the floor below.

Kid saw the chair fall down to the mat below. He jumped for it to catch it before it fell, but it was no use. Unfortunately, his jump caused himself to become unbalanced. He grabbed the top rope to balance himself, but he only pushed it down. With him up against Zero, their bodies leaning against the top rope for support, there was only one direction to go from the sudden loss of balance.

The two flipped out of the ring. Zero went through the table first, splintering it with his back. Kid Cool crashed on top of him and rolled off to the side.

The sudden fall had caught Zero by surprise. The sheer stupidity of this guy was leading to spots that could kill a man. Even in the most dangerous of moves performed, there was always a level of safety precaution. Blundering would not help that out at all.

Zero slowly rolled onto his feet. He saw Kid Cool still lying on the mat, motionless from the fall he had taken. Knowing that he hadn't even taken the full brunt of the fall and that there was no way he could be knocked out like that, Zero reached for Kid's head and pulled him back up to his feet. Kid Cool swayed left and right, but Zero rolled him on into the ring. One last move and the match would be over and done with. There had been enough of the needless carrying on.

Inside the ring, Zero grabbed onto the dazed Kid Cool and flung him over his head in a release suplex. But as he did that, the ref found himself in the way. Kid went flying (and hollering) into the ref. The two collided, sending the ref into a state of unconsciousness. Zero stood there for a moment, fed up with how the match was turning out and just considering walking back to the curtain area and forgetting about the match.

From the backstage area, Havoc had seen enough. He walked out into the arena and carefully down the aisle, attempting with all that he had NOT to show any signs of weakness in his knee. He had to appear strong... for Zero if for no one else.

Havoc knew that to strike Zero from behind would be 'wrong'. That he would simply be taking advantage of Zero... but it was that knowledge that drove him to pick up one of the countless shards of shattered table as he painfully entered the ring and bring it down as hard and fast as he could on the back of Zero.

As Zero fell down to one knee Havoc felt a smile tear across his face, not wanting it to be there. This wasn't something he should enjoy... he knew it was only the beginning of what would be their final battle. He knew that that one blow to Zero's back would be enough to nudge the first domino over... that it would only lead to disaster in the end. And knowing that made him smile even more.

Kid Cool jumped back up after seeing what had happened and absent-mindedly stepped in between Havoc and Zero, as if to say "Hey! The pointy-haired guy is MY opponent!" With a grunt, Havoc shoved Kid Cool aside like a ragdoll, sending him smashing into the turnbuckles.

Through the corner of his eye, Havoc saw Zero turn his head, to face his attacker. But, without even seeing him, Zero knew EXACTLY who it was. With a quick kick to the stomach, Havoc hastily grabbed Zero, locking up, and in a flash slammed Zero into the broken table with the Level Zero, Zero's own move.

Crawling from the wreckage, his weight all on his good knee, Havoc felt laughter spill from inside of him. A low... dark laughter that, in the back of his head, scared Havoc to death. Using the ropes as support, he got to his feet and cast one final look at his fallen nemesis.

"...I own you" were the words that left Havoc's mouth as he slowly and carefully climbed out of the ring and slithered back up the aisle, no longer trying to hide the pain in his knee.

Kid Cool opened his eyes to see his opponent, that Zero guy, lying face down on a shard of a table. He could see the faint spot of blood on the table where Zero's head lied. Not sure what to do, he got down on one knee and rolled Zero over. Sure enough, that spot of blood was actually coming from a gash on Zero's forehead after gnashing against the splintered edge.

Not sure what to do, Kid Cool began to push on Zero's chest in an attempt to revive him from what he thought to be death.

The ref slowly made his way back to consciousness, only to see Kid Cool on a knee, his arms atop Zero's chest. Faintly, the ref made a slow three count. Before Kid Cool knew it, the bell had been rung and the ref was coming over to raise Kid's arm up into the air.

Instantly, Kid forgot about Zero and jumped up to his feet. He let the ref latch onto his arm and raise it into the air. He left it in the air even after the ref let go.

As for Zero, his eyes slowly opened. The festivities that Kid Cool was enjoying were none of his concern. The only thought that screamed through his mind was the fact of what he had told himself before the match had started… and Havoc had dealt one last blow…
